RealImaging Advanced, new in the US at NASS 2026

See the anatomy and the instrument. Without the radiation.

RealImaging is the X ray simulator for the RealSpine platform. It shows the anatomy inside the cartridge and where the instrument sits, in real time, with no C arm in the room. The new RealImaging Advanced tracks up to 13 instruments with medical grade precision. RealImaging Lite runs on an iPad for courses and workshops.

Compare Lite and Advanced
Two tiers

Advanced tracks up to 13 instruments with medical grade precision. Lite runs on the iPad you already own.

Both simulate the X ray view of the cartridge without radiation. The difference is precision, and how many instruments the system follows at once.

RealImaging Advanced

Medical grade precision. Up to 13 instruments tracked.

A camera system tracks your instruments against the Tracking Base Star, and the laptop renders the radiation free X ray simulation of the cartridge you are working on. Built for navigation and robotics training where precision is the point.

  • Medical grade precision, based on stereotactic image guidance
  • Tracks up to 13 instruments at once
  • Radiation free X ray simulation of the anatomical cartridge
  • Camera system for optical tracking, 110V and 220V
  • Tracked pointer, 250 mm long, 4 mm diameter
  • Laptop with the Realists Imaging software (one year license)
  • Tracking Base Star, tripod with adapter, transport case
Apple Vision compatibleExplore the 3D anatomy in an immersive spatial environment with Apple Vision on RealImaging Advanced.

In the case

Camera system with power supply, one tracked pointer, laptop with power supply, Tracking Base Star, tripod and adapter, transport case. Software licensed separately for one year.

RealImaging Lite

On an iPad, in any room.

A QR code tracker on the cartridge, the iPad camera, and the anatomy appears. Built for courses, workshops and local training.

  • Radiation free X ray simulation for safe and realistic training
  • 3D anatomical visualization in axial, sagittal and coronal planes
  • Landmark tools and annotations to highlight critical structures while teaching
  • Zoom, rotate, move and reset the 3D view with your fingers
  • Integrates with the RealSpine simulators; the QR code set ships with the cartridge

Where Lite fits

Courses, workshops and local training where an iPad and a QR code tracker are enough. For instrument tracking and precision work, choose Advanced.

How the view is made

Three steps between the cartridge and the screen.

1

Mount the tracker

The QR code tracker on the cartridge for Lite. The Tracking Base Star and the camera on its tripod for Advanced.

2

Track the instrument

The iPad camera reads the tracker. The optical camera follows the tracked pointer. Either way the software knows where the instrument is in the anatomy.

3

See the X ray, without the X ray

The simulated X ray view and the 3D anatomy in three planes, live, annotated for teaching. No radiation, no lead aprons, no C arm.

Works with

Five RealSpine cartridges, cervical and lumbar.

Compatible products as Realists lists them. Each one has its own page.

Before you book

Questions we get about RealImaging.

Advanced or Lite?

Advanced tracks up to 13 instruments with medical grade precision, for navigation and robotics training. Lite runs on an iPad with a QR code tracker on the cartridge: X ray simulation, 3D anatomy in three planes and teaching annotations. Advanced adds a camera system and a tracked pointer, driven from a laptop, for stereotactic image guidance.

Which RealSpine models does it work with?

Lumbar Posterior, Lumbar Anterior Lateral, Lumbar Posterior Lateral, Cervical Posterior and Cervical Anterior.

Do we still need a C arm?

Not for the training. RealImaging simulates the X ray view without radiation, so the course runs in any room. When you do have a C arm, the RealSpine models are X ray and fluoroscopy compatible as well.

What is Apple Vision for?

An optional upgrade to RealImaging Lite. In Realists' words, combine RealImaging Lite with Apple Vision to explore 3D anatomy in an immersive spatial environment.

What comes with Advanced?

Camera system for optical tracking with power supply, one tracked pointer, laptop, Tracking Base Star, tripod with adapter and a transport case. The Realists Imaging software is a separate one year license.
